New turn of events

We took a turn for the better this week. We're starting the Gracie Combatives program and it looks awesome. We're excited. The techniques are way better and more refined. I can't wait to learn more!

Right now we're training tues/thurs at noon in the Fieldhouse.

Name Change

The club has voted to change it's name to the "grappling club". Our worry is that not enough students know what Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is, so this name may be intimidating. We also wish to invite anyone with other grappling skills such as Judo or Wrestling into the club, to make us all more well rounded. The more the merrier!

We are a student club of the University of Wisconsin - Fox Valley. Please do not confuse us with the Fox Valley Grappling Club in Appleton.

Back up and rolling!

The semester has started and we have 4 students training now. Our new schedule is Mon/Fri 12-1pm, but we're looking to add more times to get more live rolling in.

The equipment has arrived

The mats, mat cart, uniforms, timer and cleaning supplies have arrived! Please thank the members of the Student Association for approving our requests and making this club a reality.

I'll send out emails to current club members to see if we can come up with some regular training times. I'm excited to get things rolling.

Thanks!

Funding approved!

I received word from SA that our funding request has been approved. We're getting mats, uniforms and all the supplies we need to start our club! That's good news. I'm thankful that SA was able to see the benefit this club will be to the campus. Thanks!

Now it's time to place some orders and work out some training times. :)

Startup Funds

I've filed the proper paperwork with the Student Assocation requesting funding for mats, uniforms, cleaning equipment and a digital timer. Keep your fingers crossed!
